About the Program

As a Food & Beverage Management Trainee, you will be immersed in the core operations of a luxury restaurant and bar, focusing on delivering impeccable guest service, learning the foundations of food & beverage management, and contributing to the renowned Shangri-La hospitality culture. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in one of Asia’s most prestigious hotel brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests warmly at the entrance of the restaurant.

  • Ensure the restaurant is fully prepared to receive guests before opening, including cleanliness and readiness of all operating equipment.

  • Maintain a polished personal appearance and professional uniform according to hotel standards.

  • Be knowledgeable of the restaurant’s menu offerings, including daily specials.

  • Inquire about and manage reservations, noting guest preferences for personalized service.

  • Escort guests to their table, ensuring smooth seating in accordance with service flow.

  • Stay attentive to guest needs throughout their experience and respond proactively to requests.

  • Address and resolve guest complaints where possible, and promptly report all issues to your supervisor.

  • Support beverage and food service during peak times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of hostess stations, menus, and surrounding areas.

 

Requirements

  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 months’ experience in hospitality or customer service.

  • Friendly, welcoming personality with excellent communication skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

  • Well-groomed and professional at all times.

  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Motivated to grow into a future leadership role in food & beverage or hotel operations.
