About the Program

​

As a Management Trainee, you will experience comprehensive exposure across key hotel departments, learning directly from industry experts. Key Responsibilities

  Front Office:

• Guest Service Excellence – Assist in delivering tailored guest services at the Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Service Center.

• Front Desk Operations – Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, currency exchange services, room allocation, and inquiries.

• Concierge Assistance – Provide guests with recommendations, transportation arrangements, and ensure efficient handling of all requests.

• Executive Lounge Management – Support operations in the exclusive lounge areas, ensuring high service standards.

  Food & Beverage:

   • To follow the procedures, policies and techniques of service.
  • To have full understanding of the menu preparations to ensure good salesmanship.
  • To co-ordinate the work of subordinates and maintain the established procedures and policies.
  • To recommend menu items and beverage if necessary.
  • To communicate efficiently with the kitchen.
  • To help prepare training programs for staff.
  • To promote good working atmosphere with emphasis in enhancing relations with subordinates.
  • To enforce the personal appearance of the staff and punctuality.
  • To greet guests, handle comments and problems whenever required and promote sales to meet       

    forecasted revenues.
  • To recommend menu items and beverages to guests, as well as taking orders.
  • To converse with guests to maintain a good relationship as well as extending personal touch.
  • To make requisition for supplies in order to maintain stock level.
  • To take over the duties of the assistant restaurant manager in his absence.
  • To carry out any other duties as and when required by the restaurant manager.

 

Requirements

• Fluent in English – Exceptional communication skills for interaction with international clientele.

• Hospitality Experience – Minimum of 3 months' experience in hospitality or customer service.

• Adventurous & Open-Minded – Prepared to spend 6 months in China, adapting to a vibrant, new cultural environment.

• Professional & Detail-Oriented – Ability to deliver services consistent with Waldorf Astoria’s standards of luxury and excellence.
